We welcomed an approach by the Commerce Commission to come and educate our team on cartels and anti-competitive behaviour. This was part of a national awareness campaign undertaken by the Commerce Commission that had a specific focus on the plastics industry in New Zealand.
We welcomed an approach by the Commerce Commission to come and educate our team on cartels and anti-competitive behaviour. This was part of a national awareness campaign undertaken by the Commerce Commission that had a specific focus on the plastics industry in New Zealand.
The session educated Team Snell on identifying cartel behaviour, ensuring fair competition in market and the importance of reporting potential breaches which we felt could only be beneficial to how we go about our business based on how many suppliers and customers we deal with.
“For Snell, this is not only a supply and legal compliance issue. It is a leadership, culture and reputation issue”, says Shaun Williams, Snell’s Chief Executive.
On the back of this session, we are planning to implement an in-house training programme, in alignment with our commitment to delivering for our customers under the Governance pillar of ESG.
