In packaging, different types of paper products can be utilised for a range of applications, some of these types of paper include Kraft paper, newsprint and tissue paper.
When using paper products for protective packaging, the main applications are for wrapping and void-filling.
Paper is a common product used for wrapping purposes, it is readily available and generally acts as an effective solution when wrapping or protecting items. It tends to be one of the least expensive materials for this purpose.
Kraft paper offers the most protection as it's thicker than other types of paper and is often used as an outer wrapper. Newsprint and tissue paper offer less protection and are usually utilised inside a package by wrapping small or delicate items. Tissue tends to be more expensive than newsprint and is also an attractive paper for wrapping products, which is why it's used widely across retail applications.
