Hand Protection

The main considerations when selecting gloves for protection are:

  • Identify the nature of the task and related hazard that could damage the hands and fingers.
  • Choose the correct type of hand/arm protection for the hazard so that injury is avoided.
All gloves are not created equal - especially as they are used for so many different tasks. You can't expect one type of glove to be resistant to heat, withstand exposure to all types of chemicals, never feel sweaty, be completely puncture resistant and provide a high level of sensitivity and dexterity.

It's very important to select the correct glove for the task.
